Our RDAP Blog

We have implemented the following guide for using the RDAP Community Blog. This guide is designed to strike a balance between the main goals of our Blog, providing support, social networking, and the provision of resource information, and keeping the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for the user community.

Please make sure that all posts are respectful, constructive, and on topic.

All material posted or uploaded to the RDAP Blog remains the property both of the original poster and rdap.astos.org. R-DAP is the licensed distributor of such content. In the interest of stimulating and supporting dialog from diverse points of view, the administrators of this site reserve the right without formal notice to access or view all such material (including posts and profile information), to edit the subject of a post, or to move, reclassify, or delete any post or other material that does not meet the goals  and purpose of the RDAP project and/or or allow proper indexing and searchability. Please note that, from time to time, topics may be removed if they are not fruitful in stimulating dialog and guidance for action even though your individual post in that topic may have been perfectly fine.

We welcome debate of ideas but not personal attacks on other participants or RDAP staff either in public forums or private messages.

Please do not use profanity. We have word filters in place for the most vulgar terms. Circumventing those word filters will result in deletion of material.

Please do not advertise or promote companies or their products.

We reserve the right to ban any member who violates our guidelines or disrupts our community. We will be fair and provide warning in most cases.

If you have an issue concerning our services, policies, or staff, please use a personal contact method such as a private message or email to a staff member. We take serious complaints to heart and will do our best to address them.

The Golden Rules

  1. No profanity, foul language.
  1. No discriminatory comments.
  1. No offensive comments.
  1. No Spamming.
  1. No illegal transactions.
  1. Any and all complaints should be directed to the RDAP administrator. The RDAP Blog administrator will make or change any and/or all final decisions.
  1. No pictures.
  1. Signatures may contain images, but may not be any larger than 11 point font. If your signature is larger than the allotted size given or deemed unacceptable by staff, you will be requested by an administrator to resize or change your image. Please also try and keep text signatures under 5 lines.
  1. No advertising of commercial-related products and/or services.
  1. Remember to post in the correct Blog Section. Take your time to look at other topics and see where your topic should go.
  1. If a topic is recognized as being posted in the wrong forum, or if the post is a violation of our guidelines then please contact an administrator via personal message rather than responding publicly to the member - a member of staff will do what is required upon contact.
  1. No impersonation of a user within the RDAP Blog, in any mode of communication.
  1. Linked and locked topics may be pruned regularly to reduce page clutter. If you have a question about where your topic went, please send a personal message to the Administrator before starting a new topic asking where it went, or posting a duplicate of the original topic. We will be happy to provide you with a link to the new location, or a reason why it was locked and/or removed.

  1. If you are linking to external content, you should link directly to that content. Please do not use link-thru systems to mask the originating URL.
